Katy's Bio

Hi, I am Katy Greenbauer!
I am dually certified as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
I’m also a competitive and sponsored obstacle course athlete. In 2015 I was ranked #1 in age in the Spartan Race Open division in the US and top 10 worldwide. Before the end of the season I started racing in the Elite division and had 2 Masters Elite podium finishes. I enjoy running and have completed many half marathons, 10ks, and 5ks. I briefly retired from racing and concentrated on obtaining my Personal Training Certification and Fitness Nutrition Specialty from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
My training philosophy has always been to be consistently inconsistent. Our bodies are great at adapting. We can’t change our bodies if we allow ourselves to get comfortable in a routine workout. I continually look for new ways to challenge myself and athletes both physically and mentally.
Each client I work with is treated as an athlete that deserves the highest attention and respect. During my racing career I have had the opportunity to work with athletes of all abilities; this has given me a unique insight into how to provide motivation to clients so they can attain both their fitness and life goals.
